The Celestial Serpent
Is known by the Aborigines of Australia as the Ungur
It formed paths now occupied by rivers

Other Aborigines call it the Won Naira
Not only did Won Naira make the rivers
It made the valleys in which the rivers flow

In Sumatra
Mountains and valleys owe their origin
To the wriggling of the malevolent snake Naga Padoha
Who inhabits the waters of the underworld

The Greek Typhon was a dragon
When struck by bolts of lightning
Fled in search of an underground descent

In so doing cut the earth with furrows
And formed the beds of rivers
Causing fountains to break forth to the surface

In Benin
The forager of mountains and rivers is Da Ayidohwedo
Who carried the Creator to and fro
Wherever they rested a mountain arose

In his travels Da Ayidohwedo coursed out streams and dug channels
In which the waters now move

You will find dendritic patterns in rivers
Exactly the same as the ones found in lightning strikes
They are called Lichtenburg Figures

From the Zujar River in Spain
To the Colorado River
And to the Amazon

It was the Rainbow Serpent who took the form of a lightning bolt
That carved out lakes rivers and streams
Through electrical discharge machining

And when the charge influenced the magnetic field
It raised mountains!
