Genesis 15:17 says
When the light of El waned
A smoking furnace appeared
And a burning lamp passed through it
The Aztec god Xiuhtecuhtli dwelt in the center of a hearth
The hearth is the floor of a fireplace or furnace
He was enclosed with the turquoise waters of the flower goddess
And surrounded by billowy clouds
Psalms 18:11 says
El made darkness his secret place
He made in the sky his pavilion round about him
Which were dark waters and thick clouds
El was Saturn
The smoking furnace or burning bush was Venus the flower Goddess
And Mars was the lamp or light of the world
In the Rig Veda
Agni was the impregnator of the womb of the Goddess
And the driller of fire into the hearth
Which was the center of the cosmos
Agnis blaze illuminated heaven and earth
As he manifested himself in the navel of the world
In the Vedic hymn Taittiriya Samhita
Agni produces fire in the center of creation
And becomes the sovereign king
The sacred celestial fire at the time of the beginning was Mars
The Aztec Codex says
At the heart of the universe stands the body of Xiuhtecuhtli the fire god
From his body flows 4 streams of blood
Into the 4 quarters of the universe
Giving them light and energy
The quincunx was the symbol of fire
And signified the center of the world
And presented a cross like form
In it stood the great red morning star
Who fills the air with his shine
And upholds the 4 quarters by his lustre
In Mesopotamia
Shamash was the light in the circle of the heavens
He was the central fire sending out fiery rays to the 4 corners of the cosmos
