Is it to create a wormhole to the next realm
Whereby they can summon a god?
Is it to establish a stargate or portal
Allowing for interdimensional travel?
Is it for proton dispersion of the plasma dome
Resulting in an EMP
That will herald in a blackout and planned period of darkness.
Or maybe it is for time travel.
