Are we living in an artificially induced consciousness
That resembles sleep
Are we mindlessly absorbing feeble messages
That redirect our impulses
Are we living in a repressed society
And are unwilling accomplices
Is the intention of the ones who run the show
The annihilation of consciousness
Have we been lulled into a trance
And been made indifferent to others
Being focused only on our own gain
Are the controllers safe
As long as they are not discovered
And are we unwilling to wake up
From our blissful ignorance
Because the truth is offensive to us
