The Waldorf Astoria was demolished in 1929 to make way for the Empire State Building in 1931. The Waldorf Astoria was Tartarian as were most of the Fifth Avenue buildings in NYC. A lot of Tartarian buildings were damaged during the reset in the early 1800’s and were repaired and restored. This is the case with the White House in Washington DC.
