The words Let There Be Light
Is a well known phrase from the book of Genesis

But what light is being talked about
Since the sun stars and moon were said to have been created later

It was a downward flow of light from above
And a plasma ray coming from below

It was straight like a pillar
And is referred to in the Christian Sibyllines as the Pillar of Glory

It became a heaven sustaining column
Known as the Khu in Egypt

It was vertical streamers of light ascending the world axis
And a cylinder of ethereal fire stretching along the central column of the cosmos

This pillar of light seemed to lessen in intensity near the proximity of Saturn
And was looked upon as this gods single leg

The god acts in solemnity as he stands on one leg

The Hindu Manu is the prototype of the Biblical Noah
Who stood on one foot while performing awesome austerities

Osiris was lauded as having occupied a position above the leg of heaven
The leg was a leg of fire

Shiva whose name means pillar is portrayed as standing on his right leg
Devotees will stand on their right leg and hold their left leg behind them with a strap
Some will do this for a considerable amount of time

The Hindu ritual known as Yupa
Commemorates the raising of the sacred stake

The priest commences with the words
With thy crest you has touched the sky
With thou middle you have filled the air
And with thy foot you have steadied the earth

This pillar of light and leg of fire was also the gods phallus

The god Aai is an alter ego of Osiris
And is known as the phallus god

Rehu is a heaven sustaining deity
That is identified with the phallus of Osiris

In Indic lore the male organ is the lingam
And Shiva is equated with a fiery lingam

Brahma created a glorious shimmering linga
And Vishnu had a flamboyant pillar with a brilliance of a hundred fires

They both journeyed up and down the axis trying to discover the lingas top and bottom
When they returned to the middle from where they commenced they found Shiva who was the lingam

In Hinduism the adoration of the linga became an object of worship
And is still a part of their ceremonial rituals!
